Ai, an ordinary Japanese college student, is transported to another world by a mysterious purple light while studying in a library. When she awakens in the Kingdom of Spand, she discovers that she has exactly the same face as Princess Altemus. She is not treated as a chosen hero. Instead, the royal family turns her into a living substitute: forcing her to imitate the princess, using her in political schemes, and offering her as bait to eliminate their enemies. To survive, Ai hides her true identity deep inside herself and wears the face of the princess. But after escaping the capital, she falls into the hands of bandits, nobles, and an even darker psychological prison. Before she is completely erased, Ai must reclaim the answer to one question: Who am I?
